I was having the same issue. I finally called AT&T, after 20 minutes of trying to add the feature to my account the rep told me he'd call me back after looking into it some more. About 15 minutes later he called back and said it still wasn't working and that he and others would need to do some extended research into the matter and that he would call me back when they were done. That was several hours ago.
I have the 450 minute plan for $39.99 and the 2 GB Data Pro with 1000 messages at the moment. I also get a FAN discount, but I doubt that would be screwing things up.
I have the same minute plan, with the unlimited data plan, and a FAN - I had no trouble switching the messaging option over this morning.

Out here in the world there is a buyer for anything apple. I'm just not into a white anything apple it will only show easily how rugged I can be with my phone.

i'll most likely get one as much as i would want to wait for the iphone 5... but that way i get vzn's unlimited data if they remove it in the summer...hopefully be grandfathered too after the contract for another 2 years etc.

Anyway, I can't understand why the high level of piracy (with movies) when Netfilx and Blockbuster Online exist (although you could just copy the movie from there).

The bidders seem suspicious to me. They fit the pattern of scammers that buy something for a high price and end up scamming the seller in one way or another. So maybe the buyer will end up loosing his $450 picture!!! Poor guy. :rolleyes:

This is the first MWSF in years where there is not a single product, hardware or software, that is ready to ship today.
It's so dissapointing that there was no Leopard, iWork, iLife, not to mention the lack of any actual computer hardware updates.
Like others have mentioned, I care little for AppleTV and a phone that might not be available to buy where I live (UK) for nearly a year. Don't even know why he bothered mentioning a product that won't be ready to ship in any region for half a year, much less spending 90 minutes of a keynote on it.

After last year's iPhone 4 leak incident I think :apple: is just being extra careful this year not to leak any details whatsoever on the iPhone 5.
And then BOOM. iPhone 5 announcement @ WWDC!!
PS: For those who are threatening to move to a non-iPhone phone, remember this is all speculation and rumor. I know how horrible it can be, I had a 3G until I got my iPhone 4, but I waited patiently for 4 to come out and it was well worth it.

i didnt read all the comments, but this is my opinion right here, this white iphone 4 launch makes absolutely no sense unless apple is planning to let it run for at least another 6 to 8 months without announcing any new hardware.
i suppose the new iphone 5 will only come out a lot latter than speculated and probably the supposed better guts will be a iphone 4 s just with better insides.

The iPhone 4 isn't going anywhere for another year or so. Why does it hurt Apple to release another colour version of a phone to offer more choices to the customer? They are simply delivering on a promise they made last year.
Apple could easily announce a new iPhone in June and it would still sell millions.
Granted I am expecting them to announce something in September if the latest rumours are anything to go by.

I think the consensus is that Apple abandoned the idea of building a phone completely from the ground up, which was their original idea. The question is *what* exactly they abandoned. At some level it makes sense for them to use Symbian or some other existing OS in order to get the benefit of 3rd party app availability.
Then again, that rather un-Apple like, since I would think Apple would want to have total control over the interface. Maybe Apple *will* come up with a real-time "OS X Lite" operating system, and the 3rd party apps will have to be Java apps, basically. If Apple makes sure that Java performs well on the iPhone then that would be their best strategy...

Just make sure your cable provider allows you to record from it. Make sure the signals are not encrypted.
I purchased EyeTV500 and after I figure out the only way to record HDTV was from over the air antenna. I returned it to Elgato after I found out I would have to spend good amount of money buying a really good outdoor antenna plus make holes in the wall and etc. to be able to connect it to my EyeTV and computer.
That's a good point! Grrrr... Always something. I just checked ElGato's site and they don't offer an HDTV over Sat solution that I can see.
